What is I AM AN ARTIST?
I Am An Artist is a visual arts initiative aimed at supporting primary teachers and pupils in the adoption and delivery of the visual arts curriculum in Ireland. By comprising 30 short TV programmes (each 6 minutes in length), an interactive website with slideshows, lessons, weblinks and interactive games, it provides a stimulating collection of curriculum-mapped resources for empowering and supporting the teacher and student.

The content for I AM AN ARTIST has been created in consultation with Irish teachers.
Who has developed I AM AN ARTIST?
I AM AN ARTIST was part of a collaborative project between RTÉ and the National Centre for Technology in Education (an agency of the Department of Education and Science) which ran in 2004. This collaborative project is entitled IMMERSE – Innovative Multimedia Educational Resources for Students and Educators.
It set out to develop innovative, interactive, curriculum-relevant resources for students and teachers in the Irish education system.
